The PWC Good Growth Index 2018 has just been published and Southampton has moved up to the 3rd highest ranking city, behind Oxford and Reading. This, in part, has been attributed to an increase in the number of new business start-ups when compared to last year’s report. The latest research findings come a few weeks after Southampton was also named as a growing high-tech digital destination, coming fifth in the rankings of the world’s super clusters, ranked higher than Cambridge, Bristol and Cologne. The report by estate advisors CBRE - EMEA Tech Cities: Opportunities in Technology Hotspots places Southampton number five in the medium-sized business category, showing that high-tech employment continues to grow above the UK national average.
