Big four firm EY has moved into a new 30,000 sq ft office in Southampton city centre.
The company’s 140-strong Southampton team is spread over two floors of the Grosvenor House office for which the company has signed a three-year licence.
The move follows an extensive refurbishment and is a 20 per cent increase in floor space from EY’s previous office.
EY recruited 40 new members of staff last year and plans further expansion in the next 12 months.
"Since signing the lease at the end of November the entire team here in Southampton have been excitedly waiting for the day when we could move into our new office," said EY Southampton office managing partner Dave Hales.
"The move brings into fruition months of planning and hard work. I’d like to thank agents JLL for their support in finding us a new home in the city and BE.Spoke, who undertook the fit-out operations, for an absolutely amazing new office."
He added: "Southampton and the South coast have a thriving economy. This move shows we are fully committed to Southampton and to providing the best possible service to our clients and to exploring opportunities across the region."
The new office will form a base for the company to expand its South Coast corridor operation, part of the wider EY Thames Valley and South region that employs more than 700 people.
