The hotly anticipated YMCA Nursery will be opening its doors for the very first time on Monday 1 September 2014 at Crest Nicholson’s Centenary Quay riverside development in Woolston, Southampton. To celebrate the launch, the YMCA will be hosting two open days on Wednesday 27 (1:30-7:30pm) and Thursday 28 (9:30-11:30am) August for families to preview the excellent facilities on offer for their children.
Located within Centenary Quay, the nursery is situated in the perfect location for parents who live or work in Woolston and the surrounding area. Children from four months to five years will be eligible to attend and will be cared for by 25 full-time trained members of staff. The facilities will include light and airy playrooms and a large outdoor garden space where children can learn and play. The open days will offer the perfect opportunity to see first hand the quality of the facilities available and chat with one of the YMCA’s experienced staff members about how they will provide outstanding childcare for local children. What’s more, parents who register their child before Tuesday 30 September will receive one month’s complimentary childcare.
Susan Young, Sales and Marketing Director of Crest Nicholson Regeneration, said: “The opening of the YMCA Nursery will be a wonderful addition to the Centenary Quay community. The launch, which arrives alongside new family homes and a new library, reflects the continuing dedication of all our partners; the HCA, Southampton City Council, Local Registered Housing Providers Radian & Spectrum and ourselves, Crest Nicholson. We look forward to welcoming families and showcasing the new nursery’s impressive facilities.”
Michaela Oscroft, Nursery Manager for YMCA Nursery Woolston, added: “Accessible and quality childcare is essential for families and we are excited to be able to expand our childcare services to Centenary Quay and take part in the regeneration of Woolston. I am thrilled to have the privilege of being the manager for this new purpose built YMCA Nursery.”
Chris Hand, Chief Executive of YMCA Fairthorne Group, concluded: "We look forward to working with the local community in Woolston and Centenary Quay to develop this facility and others too. I know this part of the city really well and I am delighted that YMCA has made the investment to offer state-of-the-art childcare facilities, and it is particularly exciting to be able to ask some of our most talented staff members to lead on this project.”
