Centenary Quay Waterfront development update
Centenary Quay Award-winning developer Crest Nicholson has welcomed the Leader of Southampton City Council, Councillor Simon Letts, to its Woolston-based Centenary Quay development to provide an update on the exciting progress being made at the site.
Crest Nicholson Sales and Marketing Director, Marcus Evans (pictured left), hosted the Councillor and the pair were joined by local entrepreneur, Spencer Bowman (pictured right).
Spencer is the man behind Mettricks coffee which opened an outlet on the Centenary Quay site earlier this year, and which has since been joined by another of his creations, Vospers. Vospers is diversifying the dining options at Centenary Quay, offering residents and visitors burgers, beers and cocktails.
The commercial units at Centenary Quay are fast transforming the area into a destination for locals who are looking for a spot on the waterfront to relax.
Centenary Quay will be welcoming another restaurant with the launch of Supermarine in August 2017. Supermarine will be serving up pizza, pasta and wine, its opening marking another important landmark for the development.
On visiting the site Councillor Letts said: "Crest Nicholson’s development at Centenary Quay manages to incorporate business outlets and residential apartments on the one site.
"These modern homes are all part of a number of waterfront rejuvenation areas in the city, providing new waterside access at sites along the River Itchen.
"Centenary Quay gives a boost to the Marine employment industry in the city, offering offices for local businesses set in newly landscaped public spaces. The apartments cater for all, from single, young urban professionals through to small families."
