North/South Spine

The aim of the draft North South Spine Strategy is to put the pedestrian first and create a vibrant street that is easy to get to, move through and which links key areas of the city. It runs from Cumberland Place in the north, along Above Bar Street, down to Town Quay and the Old Town and the proposed new city plaza, thereby reconnecting the main shopping areas with the waterfront.
