Southampton Central railway station is situated at the heart of an established business area. The proposed scheme would create a landmark development and sense of arrival to the city and would incorproate a new public plaza with enhancement of pedestrian and cycle links, plus a state of the art public transport interchange for buses and taxis.

Further high rise development is proposed on this site for a mixed use of 22,000 sq m of office, residential and retail space, which will reinforce the area as a commercial and civic quarter.
