Final report - October 2004

To identify methods of encouraging medium sized enterprises in the Health and Social Care sector and Business Support industries to employ a more diverse workforce

The research will

  • Assess the feasibility of using supply chains of large organisations in the Southampton area to promote diversity in the employment practices of their suppliers


  • Identify the most effective methods of engaging with medium sized enterprises


  • Identify the tangible business benefits of diversity in employment and ways of presenting this in a meaningful and persuasive way to employers


  • Identify good employment practice in at least 4 Southampton based medium sized enterprises and write these up as case studies
